Write 2 paragraphs about your favorite tool,
filter, and effect when working in the Digital Darkroom.
My favorite tool in a digital darkroom/photoshop is the clone stamp. It can fix a variety of different problems with little effort. I also use the eraser for everything, including erasing filters or effects that I don't want over the entire photograph.
I love processing my black and white photos with the gradient map and my favorite effect is the liquifying process or the solar flare effect. I love the editing process and think it's so much fun to transform a photo from its original state into a piece of art.
To be honest I really am not good with making major edits to my photos. I do like to play with the filters and making certain things stand out a little more. I like how photoshop lets me fix things in the picture that I had messed up earlier.
My favorite is probably adding some kind of effect that changes the perspective of the picture, but keeping the mood from the lighting.
This is a hard one. I spend waaaayyy to much time playing with Photoshop. I learned how to paint some really cool angel and fairy wings on my nieces picture. (So Cute!) I love all the Filters, some of those effects can do amazing things. The clone stamp tool is a savior, and the smudge tool, and can't forget the "Levels" adjustments for shadows and light. I want to learn MORE!!!!!! I like playing with the exposure on a photograph. You can get some interesting stuff with that. I think the key is to not be afraid to experiment a little. As long as you work with a copy, you aren't going to hurt anything. Just like in painting, the discovery is half the fun.
I haven't worked a lot with photoshop and I would love to learn more about it, but of what I know I really like to bring out one color in the photo while the rest is black and white. I like different filters depending on the photo. One I have used and liked was using the colored pencil effect.
