2D Design Blog 6
Blog 6: Due
Thursday, Mar 22nd– Post a
link to what you consider to be a successful collage. Explain why you enjoy the
collage using the Elements of Art terms.
I like this collage because it combines unexpected elements that all work together to create a cohesive image. It's not too literal in terms of "collage" and uses design elements like line and value to differentiate itself.
This collage is interesting to me because it's unconventional in terms of a collage. There's a rhythm to this that I feel is generally missing from collages. Something about the uniformity interests me far more than the typical art of collages.
I was interested in this collage because the lines drew my eye across the whole piece. Also although the woman seems to be the focal point my eye was drawn repetedly to the boat which stood out to me.
Sucessful Collage:

I enjoy this collage because it is made up of many lines that form an overall picture and the colors make the collage more appealing as well.

ReplyDeleteIt makes the eye wander around all over, so it has a lot of interest to it visually. The colors go well together too.

ReplyDeleteI think using old maps is a very interesting idea. To me it can show where the person has been, I think it is very successful.
